P1451.0 Working Group
The IEEE P1451.0 project aims to develop a set of common functionality, commands, and transducer electronic data sheets, for the familiy of IEEE 1451 smart transducer standards. This functionality will be independent of the physical communications media. It includes the basic functions required to control and manage smart transducers, communications protocols and media-independent Transducer Electronic Data Sheet (TEDS) formats. It defines a set of implementaition-independent application programming interface (API) as needed.
